The piece of window art shown here is one of many designed pieces of A3 sized glass art. I am working on larger pieces of glass and am in the process of up-cycling a glass-topped table and will add to my site very soon.

I had such an exciting and busy time last year – it started in January with Chichester Cathedral discovering my website. They love that I am local, love that I create all my own work and love that I am self-taught. They invited me to create bespoke designs for their Cloisters shop.

My presence in the Cathedral brought with it, several fabulous commissions, all of which are now happily with their owners; a plate with the 7 dress designs submitted for a Masters Degree for my client’s grand-daughter ,

a glass panel with cross defined by mosaic corners – this piece commissioned as a gift to celebrate a family member becoming a Pastor in Switzerland,

The bowl shown below is a gift for a lady who loves lilies, silver and blues. This particular image shows 3 of the 4 windmills in this design, each one representing a grandchild, with their initial delicately painted. .

I was invited to exhibit within the Arundel Gallery Trail last year and joined both Open Houses in Hove during May and December. It was great to be part of the Christmas festivities, attending the Arundel Castle, The Weald & Downland Museum and Stansted House Christmas fayres – I received many commissions and met up with previous clients who have been following my success to date! Great to see you again!

I have drawn much inspiration from lovely conversations last year and am looking forward to getting started again now, after a relaxing break.

I will continue creating large glass bowl designs and am now creating a design for a glass topped table, up-cycling (as I think it’s referred to now!) and giving it a new lease of life. I have great ideas for window art and am working on a project that creates wonderfully detailed designs for glass windows. Also glass plaques for regimental crests and family coats of arms and a Richard III crown design.

A new restaurant – Basmati – has opened in Westergate – I am working on a design for a large piece of wall art for the reception area.

So, another busy year ahead and it’s only 30th January. Exciting times!!!

Thanks for visiting my site!

Saturday 5th November – 10-5pm FREE admission!
Arundel Castle – The Fair Trade Day. This event is ideal for finding unusual and inspired gifts for Christmas and other occasions. I received a good welcome again last year and a couple of exciting commissions too! All goods are fair trade – a lovely day out – relax and listen to music and enjoy a massive piece of home made carrot and/or chocolate cake and fair trade coffee!

Saturday 12th/Sunday 13th November – 10.30 – 4pm daily.
The Weald & Downland Christmas Market. I can be found in the Gridshell building. This makes for a great day out for all the family – lots of lovely gift ideas! As in previous years, I am happy to bring commissions from the previous Open Air event with me to this show if it is easier for my clients.

Friday 18th, Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th – November – 10 – 5.30pm – timings to be confirmed.
Stansted House, Rowlands Castle, Hampshire, PO9 6DX – I can be found in the Blue Room on the ground floor – last year was my first year at this wonderful venue and I look forward to another great time this year. This is such a successful event which really gets me in the mood for Christmas!

Weekends of 26th/27th November and 3rd/4th December – Brighton and Hove Open House Art Trail. I will be found at The Polish and Pin venue in Wilbury Gardens, Hove. Timings to follow. This is my third time at this venue and my second Christmas. This venue is lovely, all artists’ work use recycled materials, creating wonderful art.

Its possible that I may have other events in December, however, usually I am working on commissioned pieces in readiness for Christmas – the more notice I have, the better. I look forward to seeing you at my events and thanks for your support!

The Arundel Gallery Trail was a great success – I was invited to join No 1 School Lane where Karin Moorhouse hosted with 5 other artists, myself being one. All of us in the house brought our own individual style and medium of art making for a great interesting mix of art to view. We had lots of visitors throughout the whole trail time – this was a great event and a great venue too. Thanks to Karin! The Gallery Trail is always the last two weeks of August, to include the Bank Holiday weekend. I look forward to being part of this lovely trail next year!

This commission from Hong Kong is a gift to a dear friend in New Jersey – there are eight dragonflies depicting luck, four large and four small – each one is a hand painted designed dragonfly and is unique in style, as is the complete piece of glass art. I wanted the background to represent sky and also the delicate cellular structure of dragonfly wings. This glass art was hand delivered, via London, to Leslie in the US. She received her commissioned gift by her friend and was said to be delighted. I have since seen a picture of Leslie holding the dish – travelling art! I loved the opportunity of this commission. (Commission prices are dependant on length of time for concept and hand painting.)

What an exciting event, interesting conversations with visitors and artists. I designed the Brighton Pavilion glass art specifically for this show, which was sold together with a bespoke iron stand by a lovely couple who live locally. The Dragon Plate was discovered and went home with a very happy family! The Polish and Pin venue in Wilbury Gardens, Hove, is fabulous – thanks to Emma and family for being such great hosts. We look forward to the Christmas open house trail in November! Much love.

Chichester Cathedral have asked me to design hand painted glass pieces for their gift shop. I am so inspired by the Chagall window in the cathedral and presented my bespoke painted glass art designs to them last week – they love them. I now find myself working on creative unique pieces for their shop, working on future hand painted designs, developing complete ranges of hand painted glass art pieces in readiness for their Christmas buyers. The Chichester Cathedral rainbow burst painted glass design captures the essence of the cathedral and, as a window light catcher, captures the light and brings it into your home. These and other designs are now available to purchase in the Cathedral. Taking this design further – there are plenty of churches in West Sussex that are people’s favourite for whatever reason – weddings, christenings and happy visits, a time for loving memories – my unique hand painted glass designs capture these moments for you – if you would like to commission a piece, please see my Contact details.
