This commission from Hong Kong is a gift to a dear friend in New Jersey – there are eight dragonflies depicting luck, four large and four small – each one is a hand painted designed dragonfly and is unique in style, as is the complete piece of glass art. I wanted the background to represent sky and also the delicate cellular structure of dragonfly wings. This glass art was hand delivered, via London, to Leslie in the US. She received her commissioned gift by her friend and was said to be delighted. I have since seen a picture of Leslie holding the dish – travelling art! I loved the opportunity of this commission. (Commission prices are dependant on length of time for concept and hand painting.)
